This winter we're looking forward to warm, sunny weather and with more hours of daylight than most of Europe, so if you're thinking of getting away from the winter blues just let us know! With this in mind below is our winter schedule:
We will be closed:
December 12th until December 17th
December 25th (Christmas Day)
January 1st 2009 (New Years Day)
January 6th 2009 (Three Kings)
Apart from that, we open for business as usual. We're available for PPL(H) training, Type Ratings and Charter and with 2 CAA Examiners on site you'll also be able to revalidate your licence and ratings.
With all the spectacular scenery and flying in Mallorca, Robinson Helicopter Company has asked us if they could use a photo of Sloane Helicopters Mallorca in their 2009 Calendar.
Naturally, we obliged and in the official Robinson Helicopters Calendar for the month of June you can find a picture of us landing in the mountains.

New Airport Procedures for Son Bonet
In January 2009 the current runways at Son Bonet are to be re-designated from 06/24 to 05/23. We'll have the new airport charts available for free download shortly.
Helicopter traffic at Son Bonet has grown exponentially over recent years, with Sloane Helicopters Mallorca flying the majority of the helicopter movements. With this in mind a new traffic pattern has been developed, with AENA and the other airport operators, specifically for helicopters.

And finally...
Due to the "credit crunch" and the spiralling costs of operating Reindeer a certain person from the North Pole has found it cheaper to charter helicopters for December this year. We were his first choice and below is an exclusive picture of Sloane Helicopters Mallorca assisting with his travels...
